These artworks, designed as protective symbols for synagogues, draw on cultural and historical imagery.

Stanton St Shul Amulet: Features the Star of David window from Manhattan’s Stanton Street Synagogue, with the Statue of Liberty honoring the immigrant community and symbolizing religious freedom. Includes animal and candelabra motifs inspired by Galician Jewish art.

Orach Chaim Blue: Created for an Upper East Side NYC synagogue, this piece centers on the synagogue’s stained glass window within a hamsa, a five-fingered symbol historically used across Jewish, Christian, and Islamic traditions to ward off harm and attract positive energy.

Orchard Hamsa Amulets: Made for the Orchard Street Shul in New Haven, CT, as part of the Cultural Heritage Artists Project. These prints depict amulet-shaped objects with the synagogue’s tabernacle elements, lions, tablets, crown, and bible, set within a hamsa, accented by hands in a priestly blessing gesture.
